Logline
Show and Tell is an experimental documentary that examines artists' working spaces as portals into their consciousness — exploring how intimate living and creative spaces, along with the objects they hold, reflect and shape narratives of hope, identity, and imagined futures.
Details
This documentary will take a peek into the lives of three working artists living in Savannah, Georgia. I aim to explore why these artists fight and sacrifice time, energy, and money in their creative spaces. Each portrait of the artists will be structured through the use of interviews, poetic montages of meaningful objects, sound design, and voice-over. I plan to ask questions such as “How does this room/studio feel like an extension of you?” Or “What rituals happen here that nobody else sees?”
Filming will be spread out throughout fall quarter, winter break, and winter quarter -- consisting of three main interviews and pickups for b-roll based on the schedule of the artists.
