Details
Marshal (If the World Hates You) is a stylized, character-driven short film that blends neo-Western imagery with psychological tension. The story follows a lone marshal navigating a hostile world where morality, faith, and violence collide. The film explores isolation, duty, and the cost of standing by one's code when the world pushes back. Visually, the project leans into restrained, cinematic compositions, strong color contrast, and atmospheric textures inspired by classic Westerns and modern thrillers. Tone is serious, grounded, and tense, with a focus on mood, silence, and visual storytelling rather than heavy exposition.
We are currently seeking:
-A motivated, collaborative director of photography interested in narrative filmmaking and in building strong portfolio pieces.
-An actor to play the part of Boone:
Boone is young and emotionally driven. He has spent his short life living with the ebb and flow of the chaotic post collapse US. Finding himself working for his brother at a military scrap yard, it's when his brother is killed in front of him that he must find his place in the world.
We are looking for an average height - 5’ 9’ white male with black hair. He is strong from his years at the scrap yard. He is guided by emotions with a youthful rage. Above all he seeks fellowship and peace but does not know how to find it.
