“As the first wave of COVID overwhelms the world, an overworked nurse saves countless lives while her own life quietly begins to unravel.”
Details
This project requires two primary locations. The first location is a residential house, which will be used for the interview sequences that take place throughout the film. These scenes are dialogue-driven and emotionally focused, so the location should be quiet, controllable, and allow for consistent lighting and sound recording. Ideally, this location would be a house where production can film for multiple days without interruption.
The second main location is a hospital setting, where the majority of the intense and dramatic scenes take place. Since filming in a real hospital can be expensive and difficult to schedule, the production may instead use a location that can be dressed and designed to simulate a hospital environment.
Because some scenes take place in hallways and patient rooms, the production design will play an important role in making the environment believable. Items such as hospital beds, curtains, IV stands, monitors, masks, medical clothing, and fluorescent lighting will help create a realistic hospital atmosphere without requiring a real hospital location.
The estimated budget for this project is approximately $5,000 or higher, depending on location availability, equipment rentals, props, transportation, food for cast and crew, and post-production costs.
