The Orange Grove

When an aspiring documentary filmmaker becomes stranded on a rural Georgia orange farm, his growing intimacy with the younger of two brothers awakens a desire to escape, threatening the fragile order that has kept the family together.

The Orange Grove is a Southern Gothic queer romantic drama set in Meridian, a fictional rural town in Georgia. The film follows a young documentary filmmaker who becomes stranded at an isolated orange farm, where his growing connection with a sheltered farmhand disrupts the fragile order holding the family together. The project is being developed as a student short film at the SCAD, with independent producer and 2026 Sundance Institute Producers Lab Fellow Hansen Lin serving as producing advisor.
