CASTING CALL (Audition by Feb 22nd)
Angelica (Young Adult) | Lead
An artistic, sensitive young woman trying to break free from her father's toxicity while carrying the weight of being blamed for her mother's death her entire life. Angelica is the spitting image of her late mother, which both connects and distances her from Raymond. She's intelligent, passionate about art, and surprisingly resilient despite years of emotional abuse. She loves her father but has reached her breaking point. Caught between guilt, duty, and self-preservation.
Sylvia (Mid Aged) | Supporting
Raymond's late wife and Angelica's mother who died during childbirth. Appears only in Raymond's imagination/memories as a serene, loving presence. She represents what was lost and what could have been. Beautiful, peaceful, and angelically calm - the opposite of the chaos in Raymond's current life. Her presence is meant to haunt gently rather than frighten, serving as both comfort and painful reminder.
Young Angelica (Child) | Supporting
Angelica as a child, already showing signs of the "tired sadness" that follows her into adulthood. A little girl trying desperately to please her grieving father while carrying trauma beyond her years. Already learning the routines of survival in a household without her mother. Small, careful, apologetic.
