A fearful teenager is pulled into a dangerous world of crime by his charismatic best friend, forcing him to confront his past and discover that courage isn't always about fighting back.

KAIUS follows Kai, a socially anxious high school student haunted by the violent death of his father. Struggling with fear, bullying, and the pressure to become the kind of man his father once was, Kai finds himself increasingly influenced by Marcus, his charismatic best friend and star basketball player. Marcus lives a seemingly exciting life of popularity, parties, drugs, women, and street credibility. When he invites Kai to a party, Kai experiences something unfamiliar: confidence. After getting intoxicated, Kai feels invincible, and Marcus uses that newfound confidence to convince him to participate in a drug drop involving rival gangs. What Kai doesn't know is that the meeting will force him directly into the trauma he has spent his childhood trying to escape. When violence erupts, Kai recognizes a tattoo belonging to the man who murdered his father years earlier. Suddenly, the past and present collide. This Production is currently looking for kind, ready to work creatives that are passionate about storytelling that are willing to have great teamwork skills to build a Narrative Short Film capable of going to Sundance and other film festivals.
