On the brink of eviction, two struggling actors attempt to impress a manager casting his next comedy clown duo while fighting off a violently ill-timed case of food poisoning.

Emesis follows two desperate, struggling actors in search of their next paycheck who end up at a party clown audition. There, an overly serious and eccentric director puts a group of performers through a series of bizarre exercises. When it’s finally the two friends’ turn to perform, they’re hit with a poorly timed case of food poisoning which sends their audition into chaotic, comedic disaster. This is a buddy comedy filmed mainly in long takes with a bit of improv. We will be shooting in one location during Weekend 7. We are currently looking to fill key crew positions, including a production sound team, a production designer (to create practical vomit effects and release mechanisms), as well as gaffers and grips.
