An ex-con father takes a job at a Chinese restaurant to rebuild his life, but finds difficulty in redeeming himself in the eyes of those close to him.

Synopsis: After being released from prison, Lou takes a job at a small Chinese restaurant run by the quietly compassionate Mr. Cheng, hoping to rebuild his life and reconnect with his estranged son, Nick. Despite living and working together, their relationship remains tense and emotionally distant, shaped by years of resentment and hardship. As Lou struggles through the humiliation of honest labor, he begins to wonder if he can really handle the trials of redemption. The story focuses on the themes of the Illusion of Redemption, Socio-economic hardship and generational trauma.
