I am a multi-medium artist and production designer. I love collaborating, and helping stories and visions come to fruition. I was born and raised in Yokohama Japan, and moved to the United States during my adolescence. My multicultural background and experiences draws me to stories and projects that transcends language, and highlights the inner workings of social dynamics. Working on building connections within communities brings me immense fulfilment, from volunteering on cultural arts commissions, working as a translator at conventions, and teaching fine art to kids K-8. I am always eager to create by hand, and predominantly work by painting and sculpting. My work explores themes of evolving perspectives, power dynamics, tensions of control between the inherent, created, and changing natures within communities. I draw much of my inspiration from Japanese and European cultural elements such as folklore, mythics, and religion. I've always been curious to connect, and creativity has always come natural as a way for me to bridge the gap between ideas and people.
