Don’t Lose Yourself
Zhara, a young woman in her twenties, films herself discussing the things she wishes she had known about dating. Through a series of flashbacks, she reveals how her relationship with Ty slowly caused her to change the way she dressed, abandon her friends, obsess over his attention, and accept bare minimum treatment as love. Although small gestures temporarily make her feel valued, Zhara begins to recognize that affection is not the same as respect.

Don’t Lose Yourself
Emma creates a video diary breaking down the dating “don’ts” she wishes she had known sooner. She calls out the warning signs of losing yourself in a relationship: changing who you are to impress someone, ditching your friends, letting a text control your entire mood, accepting inconsistent effort, and confusing the bare minimum with love. As she goes through each rule, the audience sees how she made those exact mistakes with Ty. By the end, Emma realizes the list isn’t just advice for other people, it’s a way of taking back control and remembering who she was before the relationship.
